Following shots all in chronological order, all of Semipalmated Plover engaging in some sort of fascinating behaviour, perhaps mating related. Breeding season extends into August, so speculation is it’s some sort of mating dance/ritual:

















After this, most of the birds startled and flew to other locations down the beach, so uncertain where this ended up.
