Sadly, no recent sightings of Pierce Brosnan in Erie County, Pennsylvania, but even if so, not sure that would qualify as “Other animals” for eBird. Maybe. Anyway, today’s post features a duo of male Common Goldeneye in flight over South Pier, plus the obligatory seasonal “Lake Erie frozen over” shots from this past weekend. Please enjoy responsibly.
Let’s see: if you count every bird in every picture that’s a lot of Goldeneyed birds. But this Team Member suspects the Team Leader fudged this, and there were only two birds!
Oh, just to let the grand Leader know, I had coffee with P. Bronson this morning….he said it was too cold to be out looking at his favorite bird!
This instance, it’s all pictures of the same two birds. Lots of flying around the Coast Guard Station ahead of landing in a small spot of open water by their dock. But, there were plenty of Common Goldeneye around generally.
