American Tree Sparrow is a ‘far north’ species, hence a regular sighting this time of year in Erie County, Pennsylvania as its southerly overwintering location.

American Tree Sparrow looks fat and happy. Probably loving its vacation to the south!
Plenty of seeds, etc. on the local grass and other plants, which are still accessible even with snow. So I think they do fairly well here in Erie.
