That’s one pissed off bird….or at least it looks like it.
re: the comic strip: why is the man mad? Did he think the birds would not let him swim?
The man thought his wife wanted to go to the beach for swimming and sunbathing, but in reality she wanted to go birding. And the outer beaches where you might see shorebirds are not conducive to swimming so much. (Technically, you are only supposed to swim at life guarded beaches.)
Or another way to look at it, you can park at Presque Isle and walk 50 feet to enjoy the beach for sunning and swimming, but to get to the outer beaches it’s a trek. So he was mad at a ‘bait in switch’ for having to go on a crazy hike, when he wanted to take it easy.
