Eagle v. Goose (?)

Special report from 16 January 2023 at Pymatuning Reservoir, on the Linesville Spillway looking east/southeast away from the main reservoir.

On the ice, two groups of Canada Geese, some birds flying between them. Erupting in flight, wheeling overhead, departing, returning. So many; more birds than seems possible. A Bald Eagle has landed. The geese settle down, maintaining a safe distance. The eagle flies off.

Really amazing to see. Following content doesn’t do it justice, but still fun.
