Changing direction today to recent flowers and insects along the Gull Point Trail at Presque Isle State Park, featuring Feather-legged Scoliid Wasp (Dielis plumipes) on Canada Thistle (Cirsium arvense):
This was a very lucky shot @ 600mm of the Feather-legged Scoliid Wasp briefly tangled in a spider’s web:
But it was way too big to be held up for long:
