With Lake Erie (including Presque Isle Bay) and many of the interior ponds at Presque Isle State Park remaining unfrozen, much of the waterfowl activity has become somewhat diffused. There are always gulls, however, e.g., as with these Ring-billed Gulls on Long Pond the other day, engaging in foraging/fishing behaviour:

This Team Member, who is very vague about bird behavior (thus only a member of the team), was amazed to see a gull aiming for the water to get a fish! Only thought Osprey’s would do that. Great sequence of shots! Loved the ‘eagle eye’ look in its eye as it headed for the fish!
