Back with more recent shots of Red-tailed Hawk, this time mostly in flight, in Millcreek Twp, Pennsylvania (“Since 1800”):
Wow! All photos worthy of Blue Ribbons! The ones where there are two together are really something!
There was a general lack of Red-tailed Hawk activity around Millcreek Twp, anecdotally at least, for several weeks+. Then this pair were ‘hanging around’ for at least a week, with lots of flying around and vocalizations. Unsure if they’re siblings, parent/offspring, mating pair, or ? In any event, it was nice to see this pair regularly for a while.
