The Wilson’s Phalarope male and chicks have been a big hit this summer. Hopefully everyone local made it out to Gull Point in time for seeing them. No reports, that we are aware of at least, of any further sightings as of the July 4th weekend, so they may have departed Gull Point. Probably it takes a few weeks for juveniles to develop enough to fly, so based on earliest sightings of the chicks it is possible they matured enough to depart with the male.
As usual, the beautiful variety of photos is amazing! Talk about beauty!
