About bird ID, the Caspian Tern has a chunky, dark orange-red beak, a black cap, dark underwings towards the tip, and black legs/feet. Royal Tern would have a more orange bill, and perhaps a forked tail. Elegant Tern would have a pale orange, long, slender, curved beak. Common Tern would usually have orange legs/feet, less dark on the wing undersides, and the beak a tad more pointed and orange, perhaps.
